This early L-049 Constellation prototype was owned by KLM and loaned to Swiss Air Lines for one season so that Swiss Air Lines could test this aircraft prior to purchasing their own. It had an unusual paint scheme in that the left hand side was painted in Swiss Air Line colors and identification while the right hand side remained with KLM colors and markings. However, Swiss Air Lines purchased the DC-6 instead. This model bears Swiss Air Line colors and identification.
